Youplus New Zealand (we, us, our) manages the personal information we collect from our clients (you, your). Your information is used in accordance with the guidelines laid out by the Licensed Immigration Advisers Code of Conduct 2014.

Personal information is information about an identifiable individual.  We collect various types of personal information from you when you interact with us, that may include but not limited to, about your:

  • date and place of birth

  • contact information

  • family and/or relevant third party’s information

  • New Zealand residency / visa status

  • employment history

  • criminal history

  • education history and academic performance

  • billing and payment information

The type and extent of information we collect and hold depends upon the nature of your interaction with us.

Purposes for use of your personal information

We collect your personal information in order to conduct our business, act in accordance with your instructions and complete the work you ask us to do, and help us manage and enhance our services.

Disclosures and your right to access

We may disclose and/or share your personal information (to the extent necessary to perform our services as requested by you and/or as required by law and regulation). That includes but not limited to:

  • any other party to whom or to which you authorise us to disclose it

  • companies or individuals who assist us in providing services

  • other companies, agencies or individuals that maintain databases against which your identity may be verified, which may include the New Zealand government authority

  • any other party where we are required to do so by law

Under the Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to request access to and correction of personal information. Providing some personal information is optional, but if you choose to withhold any requested information, we may not be able to provide you with some or any of our services.
